Strait is the Gate and Narrow is the Way

A bundle of three basic TM import scripts for Blender 2.79 can be downloaded at www.lefty2000.com/TheMoviesGame .  The link is in the sidebar under "Downloads for Blender 2.79."  These
are the scripts needed to import a game character from "The Movies" and render it in Blender 2.79.  This is not a new capability, in that all of this could be accomplished by using the old blender and the old scripts, however, I believed the exercise would help me to become less dependent on the old 2.49b version and more adept at using the later versions.

The scripts included in the bundle are: scripts to import *.msh, *.hd, and *.anm files.  

The link below takes you to a video that takes you through the entire process from start to finish.  Once you download the scripts bundle, and install them on your computer, you can reproduce the procedure illustrated in the video, if you wish.

Did you try the Avastar malewalk (or something like that was called) about retargeting armature bones in this version? It would bring us thousands of free new animations (such as .bvh). I tried it once but it had to work with some kinda rotation stuff I dont know.

I am working on the export problem, but it will take awhile. I am just one guy working alone.

To read about the new scripts in this bundle, go to https://www.deviantart.com/lefty-2000/journal/The-Movies-Scripts-for-Blender-279b-902724090.  This is an alpha version but it has mesh import and export scripts for The Movies Game costume meshes.  I have tested these new import and export scripts on 10 different costume meshes and the exported meshes will work in the game.  Any feedback from beta test volunteers is welcome.
